Group Tours

Get the most out of your visit with a Museum-led group tour. One of our curators or specialist museum staff will tell you all about our significant collections and the exhibitions we currently have on display. Your group will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn stories from the collections and history of the region.

With a constantly changing schedule of fascinating exhibitions, a fully accessible venue, free parking outside and fabulous views over Melba Park, a visit to the Museum is the perfect day out for you and your group.

Group Tour Fees

Self-guided group visits to the Museum are free during opening hours, but bookings are essential for groups of 10+ to help us manage conflicting bookings.

Museum-led group visits are available Wednesday to Friday depending on staff availability, and include a 15-20 min introduction to the Museum, the Connections exhibition, the collections and the current touring/temporary exhibition on show, followed by time to explore. We recommend groups allow 60 mins in total for your visit, plus time for a meal or to explore Melba Park next to the Museum.

Carers, support workers, interpreters and bus drivers do not incur a fee. If your group size is more than 30, please discuss this directly with us.

Teacher-led School Visits

Coming to the Museum with your school group? Teacher-guided visits are free during opening hours, however bookings are essential to help us manage conflicting bookings and support child safety.

For Primary School students we highly recommend booking into our museum-led I-Connect or Creative Learning Programs.

If you would like to bring your class for a Museum-led visit to a temporary and touring exhibition on show in The Box Gallery, please make an enquiry using the booking form. We aim to accommodate learning needs wherever possible.
