Yarra Ranges Regional Museum is located on Wurundjeri country in Lilydale—the gateway to the Yarra Valley, just one hour by train or car from Melbourne.

By Bike

The Museum is located close to the start of the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail. The trail begins at the rear of the Lilydale Railway Station car park. Enter the recreation reserve and cross the Olinda Creek bridge, and turn right through Melba Park to visit the Museum before commencing your ride. 

Bicycle racks are available at the front and rear of the building, and Gracious Grace cafe is very welcoming of bike riders. 

 

By Public Transport

By Train

The Museum is an easy, 8-minute walk from Lilydale train station. 

 

By Bus

A range of bus services stop in Lilydale, including the 680 from Mooroolbark, the 683 from Warburton, the 684 from Healesville, and the 679 from Montrose and Mount Evelyn. 

 

By Car

There is ample street parking around the Museum, most of which is free of charge. Please check time limits for street parking outside the Museum and in nearby streets. 

There is one accessible parking space directly out the front of the building on Castella Street.
