Owl Lands is home to Australia's largest owl the Powerful Owl. The Powerful Owl nest in large very old (approx. 150yrs) tree hollows usually 15-40mts above the ground and at least 50cm deep.
This bushland reserve has a trail that connects the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail to Hereford Rd in Mt Evelyn. The site is popular for bird watching.
When you have a stroll through Owl Lands be sure to look up high into the old eucalyptus trees and see if you can spot the Powerful Owl.
