Youth event – Twilight frog survey

This youth only event will see us walking the tracks of Yellingbo Nature Conservation Area at a time when very few people have ever been invited in. Join in our twilight event for anyone aged 18-31!

Frogs are most vocal at night. With a torch and a sense of adventure, help us record the frog species we see and hear.

Our events are purposeful. With no prior experience required, you'll be contributing important information to what's known about the Conservation Area, whilst gaining transferable knowledge and skills. Youth events are also about learning from each other, with a focus on enjoying being out in the bush together.

Join in our frog monitoring project. Our two objectives are to:

  1. understand if Litoria fallax population in Yellingbo, the introduced Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog (banana box frog), is self-sustaining over time; and
  2. monitor the other native frog species over time as the revegetation plots grow in and alter the localised canopy cover.
