Yarra Valley Oktoberfest

Don the dirndl and lederhosen on Saturday 28 October and get to the Lilydale Showgrounds for the fifth Yarra Valley Oktoberfest. This frothy tradition will attract over 2,000 people who want to experience an authentic Munich inspired Oktoberfest, right here in Lilydale.

The festival celebrates the best of the German beer spectacular, with 10+ beers imported from the Munich beer halls, German wine, schnapps, and even a non-alcoholic cocktail cart to ensure everyone is catered for.

Of course there will plenty of food, including pretzels, bratwurst, roast chicken and pork knuckle.

Entertainment includes a three piece oompah trio, followed by the Ale Capones roving throughout the beer hall and beer garden, and DJ Perri Lee and Gerald Speranza on percussion to bring the beats home.

Stein holding, pretzel eating and best dressed competitions, plus side shows, if you can’t make it to Munich, this really is the next best thing.
