Snakes live throughout rural and urban areas in the Yarra Ranges, therefore, you're likely to come across one at some point whether you're out bush walking, picnicking or at home relaxing in your garden.

This one hour talk by Black Snake Productions will provide you with practical knowledge on how to calmly and effectively deal with a potentially life threatening situation if you come across a snake.

This talk will cover:

  • snake identification
  • snake behaviour
  • reducing snake habitat around your home
  • first aid demonstration
  • live snakes set up safely in naturalistic displays.

This snake safety talk is presented by the Yarra Ranges Gardens for Wildlife program.
