Rebecca Wolske is a Textile and Fibre Artist who creates wall and 3D hanging art.

Quinquepartite will be her débute exhibition show-casing her wonderful journey set in five parts.

Rebecca’s techniques include painting with thread, bringing together a collage of fabrics on textiles using free motion stitching. Rebecca spends countless hours bringing her subjects to life with thread and found fibres for which she loves to fossick. She creates atmosphere and depth within her pieces which breathe colour and texture, shadow and light, glimpses of sparkle and fun.

In her collection of artworks, Rebecca explores landscape, architecture, nature, animals and water, each capturing the essence of the subject.

Rebecca Wolske a Melbourne based textile and mixed media artist uses a time old method of needle and thread by hand and machine, her storytelling is translated into cloth. Often using unconventional materials and techniques to capture an essence of a subject.

Quinquepartite so far explores her journey from degradation to water pieces then onto nature then animals and even a self-portrait and her newest pieces, delve into 3D inspired play.

Many of her pieces are Nature inspired which constantly consume her conceptual ideas, living in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges and surrounded by all the wonders of the Hills and Bushlands.

These award-winning works have travelled around Australia and overseas. Shown in Galleries, Museums and Art shows, the exhibition is a celebration of Wolske’s journey so far and displayed under the one roof at The Memo, Healesville.
