Little Yarra Ensemble Return Concert

The Little Yarra Ensemble (LYE) is a music ensemble from the Little Yarra Steiner School, in the Yarra Valley Victoria. The ensemble is primarily a string ensemble with the addition of some woodwind, percussion and guitar. LYE has been performing domestically and internationally for the past 25 years. We have toured to Germany (2019), Hawaii (2016), New Zealand four times and multiple domestic tours including Cairns, the East Coast of Australia five times, South Australia twice and several regional Victorian tours. We performed for the Dalai Lama when he visited Australia, and we have released three quality CDs.  

LYE’s musical focus is on creating positive musical experiences for youth. Whilst the school’s musical program is primarily focused on a more traditional classical music, the ensemble works with a mixture of classical, folk, rock and world music. Our students play to a particularly high standard and our string program is acknowledged as a leader in Educational Fields. The students love this group and perform with real enthusiasm.
