Please note: This venue is managed by a community committee of management. Bookings and enquiries are required to go via the Committee details provided.

Badger Creek Old School is a delightfully restored 19th century schoolhouse, the original Badger Creek State School No. 3309.

Situated opposite the entrance to the world-renowned Healesville Sanctuary native wildlife park in the Yarra Valley, in Melbourne's outer east, Badger Creek.

Old School is the perfect venue for smaller functions indoor (up to 40 seated or 60-70 buffet style) or larger functions outdoors, with its extensive lawn areas.

With its own fully equipped kitchen and private toilet block, Badger Creek Old School is entirely self-contained with ample parking.

Badger Creek Old School is a multi-function venue ideally suited to family events, community groups, artistic displays, meetings, day conferences, etc.

All the buildings in the complex are part of the original Badger Creek school.

The kitchen/storeroom was the two roomed schoolteacher's residence and the toilet block was a shelter shed for pupils on rainy days.

These buildings were saved from demolition and moved from the Badger Creek Primary School site by local residents, many of them Badger Creek CFA members. The complex is controlled by Yarra Ranges Shire and managed by a Committee of local volunteers with assistance from the Healesville Sanctuary ground staff.

A series of framed photos of the deconstruction, move and restoration can be viewed inside the school room.
