Our Community Links will be closing at 12noon on Tuesday, 24 December 2024. Lilydale Community Link will remain open throughout the Christmas and New Year period except for on public holidays. Healesville, Monbulk, Yarra Junction and Upwey links will reopen on Monday, 6 January 2025.

Domestic Animal Businesses operating in Yarra Ranges are required to be registered with Council and must comply with the relevant Code of Practice.
The Community Safety Team at Yarra Ranges conducts inspections of registered businesses to ensure they are compliant with the code before renewing their registration.

Our Small Business Office team can help you understand which permits you need for you domestic animal business. Please visit the Business Office page for more information. You will need to complete a Small Business Assessment Form.
After speaking with the Small Business Office team, you will be able to submit the required applications and complete all necessary payments.
A Community Safety Officer will conduct an inspection of your business to ensure they are compliant with the code before registration. Inspections occur annually to confirm renewal compliance.
