Environmental Significance Overlay (ESO2)

The Environmental Significance Overlay - Schedule 2 (ESO2) is a planning control aimed at improving stormwater quality entering Little Stringybark Creek. This will improve the creek's ecological health.

If your property is in this overlay area, you may need a permit. You will need a permit for any building or paving that creates over 10 square metres of impervious surfaces.

This permit usually requires you to install stormwater detention. This might be a water tank or rain garden. This allows water to slowly release into the environment instead of through the drainage system.
