The COVID-19 Omnibus (Emergency Measures) Act 2020 (Omnibus Act) includes amendments to the Planning Act, which allow for documents normally open for inspection to be made available online. Section 205 of the Omnibus Act states that planning authorities must not disclose personal information about any individuals who have made a planning permit application, made an amendment for a planning application or an individual who has made a submission or objection, without the individual’s consent.
