Yarra Ranges Shire Council (“Council”) gives notice under section 115 of the Local Government Act 2020 (“Act”) of its intention to enter into a lease with Amplitel Pty Ltd (Amplitel), with respect to the land off Swansea Road Lilydale as shown on the plan below, (“the premises”) to construct and maintain a telecommunication tower.
Principal Terms of Lease
The principal terms of the lease will be:
- A term of 20 years.
- Under the lease, Amplitel will be permitted to use the land for inspection, construction, installation, replacement, operation, maintenance, alteration, repair, upgrade, access, to and from and removal of the Facility for telecommunications, communications and any other lawful purposes in accordance with this Lease.

Making a submission
A person may make a submission on the proposal. Submissions must be submitted by no later than Friday 16th February 2024.

Any person making a submission may request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, at a meeting to be heard in support of that submission.
Submitters will be informed in writing of the day, time and place of the meeting of the Council or of a committee determined by the Council where submissions will be heard.
Submitters should be aware that submissions are required to be available for public inspection.
