"I chose to volunteer in 2014 as I wanted to give back to the community, be involved with young children and families and to keep myself busy.

I chose to be a Bookaburra volunteer as I have a passion for books and children’s literacy.

I enjoy getting to know the families and volunteering has provided me with a way to form bonds and develop friendships.

I love sharing the children’s joy of stories, imagination and having fun at story time."
