The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) is reviewing the ward boundaries of Yarra Ranges Shire Council and is seeking your input.

The review looks at adjustments to ward boundaries to ensure each voter is equitably represented in the upcoming local council elections.

Ward boundaries are adjusted so that the number of voters represented by each councillor is within 10% of the local council average.

The review only considers adjustments to the location of ward boundaries. It will not consider the number of councillors or wards.

The VEC proposes adjustments to the boundaries of the following wards within Yarra Ranges Shire Council:

  • Billanook Ward
  • Chandler Ward
  • Chirnside Ward
  • Lyster Ward
  • Ryrie Ward
