Capital development grants offer financial assistance to not-for-profit organisations to improve sport and active recreation infrastructure.
Funding is provided as a one off grant with the goal of benefiting sporting and recreation groups as well as the general community.
A capital development grant can cover up to 50% of the total project cost but cannot exceed $30,000.
The 2025/2026 round of Recreation and Sport Capital Development Grants will open on Monday 5 May 2025 at 9:00AM.
Priority will be given to projects that address the following objectives:
Council will review applications after 15th June 2025 and notify applicants of the outcome by Late-September 2025. All applicants will be notified via email.
