As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, Yarra Ranges Council will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. During the caretaker period, there will be limited changes made to the content on Council's websites. Information will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker requirements.
Steel Street Children’s Centre is a long day care facility that offers an integrated funded kinder program within its long day care hours. We offer early childhood education and care to children aged 6 weeks – 6 years.
We have a qualified Early Childhood Teacher who runs our four year old kinder program. With the experience and expertise she has brought to the centre, we have been able to implement new programs such as Bush Kinder and also offer a Rhythm and moves program once a week.
We value the community as an important part of our program and this is why we now have the use of a brand new centre bus, to assist us with excursions into the wider community.
