As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, Yarra Ranges Council will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. At Joy Avenue Preschool, we believe that children learn best by playing and being active participants in their learning. We provide a curriculum that encourages children to be active learners when they are supported and inspired to explore, create, role-play, experiment and discover. We believe that play is an essential part of a child's growth and development and how they learn about themselves and the world around them.
Our curriculum is underpinned by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards and accommodates and supports the interests, learning styles, abilities and stages of development of each child.
We highly value parent and family involvement and strive to form close, collaborative partnerships with each family.
