Southern Dandenongs Landcare (SDLC) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on protecting and preserving the remnant vegetation of the southern section of the Dandenong Ranges, particularly the water catchments which are home to our locally threatened platypus population.

Southern Dandenongs Landcare supports a number of Friends’ groups from Belgrave South and Heights, Belgrave, Selby, Lysterfield, Upper Ferntree Gully, Tecoma and Kallista.

Activities/Working Bees

Our committee meets monthly, and our associated Friends groups meet once a month for working bees Working bees involve weed control and revegetation works. We also get involved in community events and festivals, habitat restoration events, workshops, and advocacy events.
