Lilydale Community Gardens are unique in that they are on the footpath along a main road outside a shopping strip. Herbs such as rosemary, mint, oregano and sage are grown along with warrigal greens and flowers for pollinators. As the garden is small, larger vegetables tend not to be grown however there are two olive trees growing in tubs.
Contact us if you'd like to be involved in maintaining the garden. We hold workshops, demonstrations and talks and have a gardener's coffee and chat every second Saturday of the month at 11am.
