If you are aged 15 – 24 and want help getting into work or study then Transition to Work (TtW) is for you!
TtW is a service to support young people aged 15-24 on their journey to enter employment or complete education. We are here to help you find work or study and
if there’s something that is stopping you from working or studying, we can help you with that too.
Want to work?
We will help to find a job that’s right for you, assist you with any training or qualifications and make sure you are prepared for your first day at work. We will support you to keep your job.
Want to study?
We will help you find and enrol in a course that’s right for you. We will support you to be prepared for your first day at study and support throughout your course.
How does TtW work?
At your first appointment, you’ll meet your specialist Youth Employment Consultant. We will talk to you about what you enjoy, what you're good at, what you want to do, and discuss any support you need to ensure you achieve your work or study goals. We’ll work together to make a Job Plan that’s unique to you and focused on your work or
study goal and what needs to happen to make your goal a reality.
How we help you
You will have access to HYPA’s range of youth specific programs and supports to help you achieve your goals as well as:
• Information about work or study options
• Training and support to get you ready for
work
• Support to be ready to commence study
• Support to write a great resume and job
application
• Learning how to stand out in an interview
• Workplace tours or work experience
We talk with employers in your local area to find the right job for you.
Ongoing support
Once you start your job or study, we’ll stay in touch with you to make sure everything is
going okay. If you need extra support or have difficulties at work, home or in your personal life; HYPA’s team is there to support and help you.
HYPA works with services and organisations in your local community so you can get the help you need. Together with our partners, we will get you ready for work, help you find a job and stay in work or study.
