Community structure
Open woodland to 15m high dominated by Eucalyptus yarraensis (Yarra Gum). Middle storey is sparse over a diverse ground layer of grasses and herbs. This is a highly degraded community with few samples left. It tends to be recognised by a few remnant trees by roadsides or in grazing land.
Distribution
Scattered remnant stands are located on the Yarra River floodplain from Healesville to Chirnside Park. They tend to be located on moist moderately fertile soils on gentle slopes or undulating hills. Grazing has significantly reduced this community.
