Community structure 

Usually a treeless community with an occasional Eucalyptus ovata (Swamp Gum) with a species rich ground storey of grasses and herbs, when the community is intact. Verges can be very species rich. 

Distribution 

Seasonal wetlands on lowland plains. Limited within the Shire to one known location on a drain off Stringybark Creek in Coldstream. This community is seriously depleted due to grazing and weed invasion.
