A creeping perennial, leaves to 25 mm across, are divided to the base into 3 oval segments, broader towards tip, tip toothed, may have short scattered hairs. Stalks to 3 cm have long reflexed hairs. Small round cluster of 3-9 yellow, green or purple stalkless flowers on short stalk to 1 cm. Grows in swamps and along watercourses.
