Accessible Parking 

There is one accessible parking space out the front of the Museum on Castella Street. 

The car park has a gradient. 

Please contact us prior to your visit if you would like assistance with parking. 

Step-Free Access 

Entry through the Castella Street main entrance is step-free.

There is a passenger lift between floors, to access Level 2 gallery spaces.

There are no steps into any rooms.

There is a ramp from the cafe down to the spacious, relaxing Melba Park.

Our smallest doorway is the Resource Room which is 820mm wide (all gallery spaces are much wider).

Accessible Toilet 

There is an accessible toilet suitable for wheelchair users on the ground floor.  

Breastfeeding and Changing Tables 

Parents are welcome to breastfeed in the Museum.

A changing table and nappy bin is available in the accessible toilet on the ground floor.

Service Animals 

Service animals are welcome. 

Sensory Conditions 

On a busy day, Yarra Ranges Regional Museum can be loud with visitors and cafe patrons, and many of our exhibitions contain sound. For visitors with auditory sensitivity, we recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones.

Yarra Ranges Regional Museum is a temperature controlled environment. For visitors with temperature sensitivity, we recommend bringing jumpers or blankets.
