In July, the Craft Group in Tudor Village Lilydale offered to make COVID-19 masks for residents and their families and over a month, received 631 orders. A team of about 10 ladies working their sewing machines, headed by Ros, Kristine and Lorna, along with other generous residents donating materials, elastic and even chocolates (for the workers), sewed tirelessly night and day. All monies raised from the sale of masks were donated to the General Purpose Fund which is for the benefit of all residents.
The aim was to provide at least one mask to all residents who ordered; this was achieved and the ‘Mask Marvels’ are to be congratulated for their great efforts.
