Yarra Ranges Regional Museum

Yarra Ranges Regional Museum

Acknowledgement of Country

Yarra Ranges Regional Museum acknowledges the Wurundjeri peoples and other Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which the museum stands. We recognise their ongoing connection to Country. We pay respect to Elders, past and present, who have handed down their knowledge and living culture for millenia.

The Yarra Ranges region is home to Coranderrk, a site of national historical significance, and we acknowledge all First Nations peoples who have an ancestral connection to this special place.

We are committed to truth-telling about the history of this area, to caring for and sharing First Nations cultural material under the guidance of First Nations community members, and to supporting First Nations storytelling and cultural practices.
