Stitched in pain, woven in resilience—this textile-based exhibition turns untold trauma into art, inviting reflection, healing, and connection. 

Created by artist Natasja van Wyk, Threads of Violence transforms personal and collective experiences of trauma into a growing fabric installation. Inspired by her journey of survival in South Africa, Natasja stitches red fabric with words and imagery symbolising difficult conversations—ones tied to grief, violence, and resilience. Visitors are invited to contribute their own textile pieces to Threads of Connection, adding their voices to this evolving tapestry of shared humanity. Through fabric and thread, the exhibition bridges personal pain and social justice, turning silence into dialogue and vulnerability into strength.
