As the local government elections will be held on 26 October 2024, Yarra Ranges Council will assume a caretaker role from Tuesday 17 September 2024. During the caretaker period, there will be limited changes made to the content on Council's websites. Information will only be added to this website in accordance with caretaker requirements.
We acknowledge that many in our community may be feeling distressed and exhausted after a week of sustained, damaging wind events and power outages across Yarra Ranges this past week.
Council has invited the VCC Emergencies Ministry (VCCEM); trained and experienced volunteers who can offer emotional support to all those who may need a friendly face and a chat in times like these to visit our Hills community this Friday.
