Join this webinar to learn about:

  • Current Queensland Fruit Fly risks in the Yarra Valley
  • Effective management strategies

The Queensland Fruit Fly threat to fruit is real and present in the Yarra Valley. It has gradually increased its presence since first detected here in 2018 - we are under constant threat of incursion and infestation.

Broad spectrum chemical control of Queensland Fruit Fly can pose a risk to our native pollinators and biological predators in all fruit production systems. Utilising an integrated pest management (IPM) approach on an area wide scale is key to controlling Queensland Fruit Fly and preserving the good bugs.

We have the answers to management and control; we need everyone on board to detect, respond and manage Queensland Fruit Fly. It takes a united community to get ahead of this pest.
