Join us in this highly engaging and informative session to learn about what we can all do to make sure children in our communities are kept safe in Community Emergency Hubs and similar settings.
By the end of the session, we will have worked together to create a Code of Conduct to help community groups in this space.
This 3-hour training aims to equip those supporting community after an emergency such as storms, bushfires, etc.
It’s important to ensure community volunteers are contributing to a child-safe culture with knowledge and strategies to influence and support a child-safe environment. This includes understanding prevalence, developing foresight, and plan for worst-case scenarios.
This session is practical, informative and aligns with the Victorian Child Safe Standards. It equips participants to be aware of child safety processes and practices during an emergency.
Having a team of trained volunteers throughout this time is beneficial to keeping children and young people safe.
