Learn about the birds who live at, and pass through, Lillydale Lake on this walk with Des Palmer as part of the City Nature Challenge.

Des will talk about birds encountered on the walk and those we won’t see but will mostly likely be present. Des will share his knowledge about bird species in decline and contributing factors including invasive feral species and what you can do to help native birds on your own property.

Walk times are 10.15am and 11.30am.

City Nature Challenge

The City Nature Challenge is a global event where cities around the world compete over a four day period to see who can contribute the most observations of flora, fauna and fungi to iNaturalist, a citizen science platform. This year's challenge runs from Friday 25 to Monday 28 April.

We encourage you to participate by downloading the iNaturalist app to your phone or by signing up at inaturalist.ala.org.au before attending the event.
