This interactive workshop will take the participants through a series of discussions and activities with a focus on advocacy and all its forms. The aim of the workshop is for the participants to walk away with a practical framework to refine and plan for their advocacy efforts. 

Topics include:

  • Defining advocacy
  • Understanding forms of advocacy
  • Why advocate and how
  • Understanding community issues and how to include community voice: Nothing About Us, Without Us!
  • The role of an advocate: setting boundaries and ethical behaviour 
  • Developing an advocacy strategy: from planning to implementation 

About the Facilitator

Track C Consulting provide specialist services in leadership, community engagement, policy and strategy development, evaluation, and training programs including anti-racism, cultural awareness and intersectionality.

Their work is a unique blend of advocacy for change, cultural exchange and creativity. Inclusion and equity guide their practice, they listen and help to capture diverse and unheard voices. Track C believes in the power of people and their stories.
