If your activities are deemed to have a low impact (see below) you will still need to register your activity, but may not need any further permissions.
Low impact filming and photography
Low impact filming and photography is defined as:
- a filming activity of six people or less (includes all production crew and talent)
- ·no more than one camera, one tripod, and handheld sound recording equipment
- public safety is maintained at all times and all public pathways, footpaths and roads are not be blocked or restricted.
To approve a low impact filming activity, we require proof of your current public liability insurance and at least 5 business days’ notice.
Complex filming and photography
Any filming or photography activity that does not meet the criteria of low impact filming will considered complex filming.
