Council does not issue building permits. Search for a private building surveyor on the Victorian Building Authority website or online.
Contact a building surveyor of your choice to find out what documents are required to lodge your application. Your building surveyor will also tell you if need any other permits, such as a planning permit, vehicle crossing permit or council consent.
Lodge your application with your building surveyor and pay any required fees
Your building surveyor will check that your application complies with the building regulations and issue your building permit. The permit details, including plans will be share with Council on completion of the permit process.
