Senior Citizen Clubs

University of the Third Age (U3A)

U3A is a learning cooperative for older people to share educational, creative and leisure activities.  Membership is open to anyone in retirement or semi-retirement.

When you join a U3A group at Healesville, Mt Dandenong, Sherbrooke, Upper Yarra or Yarra Ranges for an additional $10 you can access classes across the 5 groups.

Country Women's Association (CWA)

County Women's Association (CWA) is an organisation of women supporting women, children and families across Victoria. It is a vibrant, self-funded, volunteer philanthropic organisation with a focus on friendship, personal development and advocacy. CWA have day, night and weekend branches to cater to your needs.

Probus

Probus are local associations of retired people who come together in non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit, autonomous clubs. Probus provides regular opportunities for members to meet others in similar circumstances, with similar levels of interest, make new friends, and maintain and expand their interests.

Community Safety Register

Community Safety Register

The Community Safety Register, is a free program run by volunteers and is designed to help seniors in Yarra Ranges to feel safe and connected to their community.

The register contains people’s emergency information that is held by Victoria Police and may be used to contact key people in the event of an emergency.

The program aims to give residents, relatives and friends peace of mind, knowing that someone is checking on their welfare.
