Join our comprehensive Youth Mental Health First Aid training (YMHFA) course equips adults who teach, care for and support young people, with the skills and confidence needed to recognise and respond to a young person experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
Yarra Ranges Council in partnership with Cire Services is offering FREE Youth MHFA training to Yarra Ranges residents and volunteers.
What you will learn
By participating in Mental Health First Aid training you will guided by an accredited MHFA Instructor to enable you to:
Intervene Early: Recognise the warning signs of mental health problems in other adults
Provide Skills: Provides skills needed to speak openly and accurately about mental health
Respond in a Crisis: Respond across a range of crisis situations where an adult may be at risk of harm
Reduce Stigma: Reduce stigma and increase support for those experiencing and living with mental health problems
