Let's play!

  1. Find some things in the kitchen that your child could explore * it can be really helpful (if you have space), to have one draw or cupboard with things your child can play with.
  2. I wonder what we have in the laundry ? What could we play with?
  3. I wonder what clothes or dress ups we could try on? Let's look.
  4. What bits & pieces have we collected? How could we use these today?
  5. I wonder what’s at the bottom of the toy box?
  6. Let you child lead the play and exploration, Tuning In - giving your child your full attention, respond by describing what they are doing and join in with what they are doing.

Talking together

In this activity, once your child is engaged it’s valuable to simply be there, to watch and allow your child to lead the play and conversation.
